The Great American Eclipse: A Preview

:00 PM, Thursday, July 27 in Currens Hall 205. The fundamental aspects of eclipses will be discussed, including animations of how the eclipse will look from Macomb. Observing tips will also be presented. He will be joined by Dr. Brigette Colley, an optometrist with Professional Eyecare in Macomb, who will talk about eye safety during the eclipse, and librarian Linda Zellmer, who show some of the many information resources available about the eclipse. Following the talk, if the weather is good, attendees can observe some astronomical objects using WIU Physics Department telescopes. The presentation is free and open to the public.
