Solar Eclipse Party - Gaithersburg Observatory Park

Monday, August 21, 2017 There hasn’t been a total solar eclipse across the US since 1979! Since Gaithersburg will be at 85% totality we are having a party! Enjoy solar viewing, solar activities, things to make and take, plus free solar viewers while supplies last. (Viewers courtesy of the NASA Goddard Space Flight Center Heliophysics Education Consortium.) SOME SPECIFICS: PARKING: Use the field at the corner of DeSellum at Route 355. Enter the lot on DeSellum. It is a two block walk to the park. Handicapped parking available at Observatory Park. WEATHER PERMITTING AS ALWAYS– This event will only be cancelled in the case of inclement weather.
