The moon passes in front of the sun

The moon passes in front of the sun, creating a total solar eclipse visible in parts of Southeast Asia. This video, taken from a live broadcast from the Exploratorium Science Center, shows the period of total eclipse, called totality, from 8:38 to 8:42 p.m. EDT on March 8, 2016.  The footage was taken by an Exploratorium team that traveled to Southeast Asia.
